GMN Leonid peak scores for the past six years. Three of the six reached 20 or more, and three did not. That is the honest picture, and it is why this is worth watching.

The score is ZHR (zenithal hourly rate), a standard measure of shower intensity that assumes a dark sky with the shower directly overhead. It is not the number of meteors one person will see, which is lower.
